Situated on the banks of the Kwanza River, near Mangais Resort, Rio Curinge boasts vast grounds offering spectacular views (from the top of the hill, where the villas are located, you can see the waves of the Atlantic Ocean), comfort, contact with nature, peace, and quiet; however, it is seriously lacking in the food and service at the restaurant.
With 9 Standard rooms (AKZ 75,000 per couple per night), 9 Premier rooms (AKZ 85,000 per couple per night), 3 suites (AKZ 115,000 per couple per night), two villas (with a shared pool), and a family house with 4 suites (and a private pool), Rio Curinge Lodge has everything to be a perfect retreat for those who stress out every week in the chaotic frenzy of Luanda. Tranquility and silence are part of the experience, and available leisure activities include a cruise along the Kwanza River (AKZ 20,000), massages (unavailable at the time of this review in August 2023), and the resort's pool. The property is beautifully landscaped, with numerous plants, a lawn, and an artificial lake with a waterfall (no longer functioning at the time of our last visit).
